Are You Being True to Yourself?

Welcome to the Kazi Law Firm! We are a boutique law firm steeped in Texas tradition personifying the warmth and congeniality consistent with southern hospitality. We believe in preserving integrity and professionalism with true Texan charm, staying true to our roots, while providing essential, affordable legal services to all. Located just north of Dallas, Texas in the rapidly growing suburb of Frisco; the Kazi Law Firm concentrates on contracts drafting and review, immigration law, will & estates, real estate law, landlord, tenant, mediation, and general business law needs.

This quote reminded me how we as a society always feel uncomfortable going against the grain. We strive to fit in and be accepted in the herd while sacrificing our individuality and uniqueness. I commend those who have the strength and determination to live life on their own terms, breaking the chains of social norms and shattering the stigmas we as a society have imposed on others. Why should we make excuses for being who we are?

For example, we’ve all doled out the simple advice to others about “just be yourself” prior to a big job interview or before the first day of school. We constantly tell people that “everyone will love you” if you merely behave like your true self. But isn’t this a lie? Aren’t we telling people to act as others would expect them to act? Aren’t we furthering the agenda of compartmentalizing people and labeling them as society would like to perceive them? Few people have the ability to live their authentic truth without regard for how others will view them. If we don’t push the bounds of expectations, how will we grow? When you’re challenged in life, you tend to find that inner strength that you didn’t realize was there, and in those moments you overcome fears and propel forward.

My message to you is to show love and acceptance for all. Don’t look at a person’s differences, but embrace that uniqueness and learn more about who they are as a human being. Step outside of your comfort zone and listen to another’s perspective. You may not agree with their lifestyle or decisions in life, but learn to respect them. It’s our right to live life on our own terms, unapologetically and emphatically. I want to leave you with this final quote, “If somebody is different from you, that’s not something you criticize, that’s something that you appreciate.”

I built my law practice on the premise of being a life raft in a sea of sharks. I want to be an advocate for those that have been wronged and are too intimidated to seek help. My firm is here to explore your options, guide you through your legal journey, and give you that safe space to ask questions! There’s no such thing as a stupid question…Only the ones you don’t ask. So, my question to my clients is not “do you have any questions?” But rather “what questions do you have?”
